Vintage Bookstore Coming to Downtown Sequim

“A room without a book is like a body without a soul.”

—Cicero, Roman author, orator and politician

Sequim’s own Rosalind Reichner is sharing the love! Rosalind is launching Hart’s Fine Books, soon to be home to 20,000 vintage and rare books collected over the last hundred years. Genres include history, the Civil War, the film industry, art books, and a lot of early 20th-century fiction. There are quite a few signed first editions plus readers copies that are affordable for most everyone. The oldest books date from the late 1700s with the majority from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Hart’s Fine Books is named in honor of Rosalind’s late husband, William S. Hart Jr., a consummate collector of rare books until his death in 2004. The bookstore is slated to open in late October or early November at 161 W. Washington St. in downtown Sequim.
